Somerville is in Massachusetts, in the Northeast, where four distinct seasons shape local life: hot humid summers, snowy winters that can close businesses for a day, and a dense pattern of towns where walking, transit and street parking all matter. Getting around Somerville is easiest by car; street parking is metered in busy downtown areas, and most suburban businesses have their own lot. Ride-share apps such as Uber and Lyft operate across Massachusetts's larger cities, and public transit varies from extensive to minimal.

I used The Green Room to host a showcase event through my production company, and the experience was fantastic. Renting the space and accessing the venue was seamless and stress-free. The location is excellent, with plenty of foot traffic that encouraged new people to stop by our event. We also made use of the piano for live music and the TV screen for a film screening-both worked perfectly and added to the atmosphere. Overall, I had a wonderful experience at The Green Room and would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a versatile and welcoming event space.

The Green Room has a track record of not returning expensive deposits. They "forgot" to return $500 to me and on a separate occasion would only return the deposit to a colleague after he threatened a chargeback. Do not book here. If you do, be hypervigilant.

Excellent little rehearsal and meeting space. Great location, clean, accessible by public transit. Parking blows hot chunks of monkey meat but, thank the gods I take the T.

Great vibes, yummy cocoa and other culinary treats can be found here in this cozy upbeat establishment. There is an outside patio with tables for the warmer weather.
